Mystery by the Sea meetings are usually held the 2nd Monday of each month at the Greenbrier Library, 1214 Volvo Parkway, Chesapeake, VA from 6-8 pm. Please note any location or date exceptions below.
Our next meeting will be at the Greenbrier Library on Volvo Parkway in Chesapeake on Monday, April 9, at 6 p.m.
Yvonne Saxon will discuss “Writing Prompts with a Focus on Conflict,” and what’s the worst thing that could happen in your story. This will be an interactive discussion with writing work at the same time–so get ready to talk and write about conflict. Hope to see you there!
Meetings consist of a few minutes of chapter business followed by a program which may include one of the following:
- Critique sessions with an opportunity to share your work
- Author speaker forums
- Pathways to Publication
- Presentation on a topic related to mystery writing
- Field trips to crime labs, police departments, and 911
